Welcome! I’m Kyle.
With my wife Bari in tow, we spend our nights cooking up great vegetarian meals and other plant-based treats.
We started out about three years back after a friend referred me to the book Eat and Run by Scott Jurek which inspired me to improve my health and running through a cleaner diet. As we dug into vegetarianism it became obvious that delicious, fulfilling meals were attainable without all the meat, against my preconceived notions. I now encourage as many people as possible to try going meat free, even if only for a day or two a week, which can be done without sacrificing flavor.
I’m also an aspiring amateur gardener, with the objective of growing as much of our produce as possible. Of course there will be kale, but we’ve also got lettuce, string beans, peas, squash, tomatoes, peppers, along with an assortment of herbs and even a couple of blackberry plants. I’ll be posting updates on the garden as its second year unfolds.
